  • We are equipped to develop, direct and devise theatre based outreach projects in communities across the UK.

    We specialise in inner city youth development and providing creative programmes in the form of individual/series of workshops.

    We have worked with several inner city theatre programmes & Community support groups developing a variety of works that talk about identity, wisdom, isolation, social awareness and playfulness.

    Working with Movement/Dance, Poetry/Spoken word, Sound & Story, we have developed bespoke programmes for community engagement bodies through local councils and theatres across the uk.

  • We have an established body of work for working with young people that helps them embrace playfulness and imagination in a way that puts the creative practice in their hands. This work gives young people a structure to work from but doesn’t hinder their creative spirit.

    The Growth House bases much of its creative approach on play in a childlike but not childish sense which we find in abundance when working with younger generations.

    We offer one off and extended workshops in devising work that support the curriculum whether that be approaching characterisation, improvisation, practical study of historical practitioners, anatomical awareness & physical theatre.

  • Our Growth House facilitators has taught at various Drama Schools and Universities such as, Italia Conti, Rose Bruford, Drama Studio London & Bolton University.

    We have several schemes of work in Movement, Physical Theatre, Acting Technique, Improvisation, Professional preparation, Directing & Devising.

    We provide a holistic cumulative learning environment often finishing terms with a light sharing of work or a full performance of devised material, though we are happy to work with existing text and plays.

    Our higher education teaching is playful, driven and constantly pushing for ensemble excellence whilst understanding each students needs and requirements to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
