Mapping Brent

Blanket was a part of the Mapping Brent project organised by Kiln Theatre in London.

Mapping Brent saw Kiln Theatre’s 6 young companies worked between September- April

devising, writing and rehearsing plays alongside industry professionals, which were

performed as part of a 9 day festival during the Easter break. Blanket was developed

with Press Road Young Company (Group 2).

Synopsis

Amidst a lively festival of youth based theatre, a huge cast of local children and

teenagers brought to life this rhythmical and brave performance. Using philosophy,

spoken word and dance, Blanket became a testament to the wisdom and innovation of

young people by giving them a platform and creative environment to have their social,

political and spiritual views acknowledged.
